In-depth Creative is made of a group of researchers, audio engineers, and podcasters who are passionate about audio storytelling. Beyond mere audio editing, we take pride in our ability to conceptualize, strategize, curate, research, produce, and manage various kinds of podcasts from start to finish on all aspects.
Initially started as a single podcast, by Shawn Corrigan in 2017, In-depth Creative has grown into Indonesia’s first independent podcast production company. We have produced non-fiction podcasts, fictional audio dramas, and other audio content in both Indonesian and English. Our company has garnered a wide reputation and has partnered with both Indonesian and international brands and institutions who entrust us with producing branded podcasts and audio stories. Our newest project is a highly anticipated Indonesian long-form narrative podcast-the first of its kind in Indonesia.
Located in the heart of Jakarta’s business district, our studio is equipped with broadcast quality audio production equipment and hosts creative spaces for our team to iterate and develop our storytelling capabilities.
With our team’s diverse background and experiences, it enables us to collaborate with different perspectives for captivating storytelling and incorporating the needs of our partners in a thoughtful manner. Our team members have recently been selected for the competitive Sundance non-fiction podcast program, where we will develop non-fictional podcast projects with producers from Gimlet Media, NPR and The New York Times.
SHAWN CORRIGAN
FOUNDER/CEO
Shawn is obsessed with great stories about Indonesia’s rich history and culture. Fluent in Indonesian, he has studied, worked and lived in the country for more than 15 years, starting when he was a student at University of Indonesia witnessing the country’s social and political reformation in the late 1990s. After being a political risk consultant for major multinational companies in Jakarta over a decade, he returned to what he enjoys doing the most producing compelling stories from and about Indonesia.
He started Indonesia In-depth in 2017 before running In-depth Creative shortly after to create and consult on content and audio stories for brands and thought leaders.
TANITA RAHMANI
NARRATIVE PRODUCER
Before committing fully to the world of audio story production, Tanita had been an inquisitive lawyer, educator, and legal researcher. She leads all production at In-depth Creative with her sharp instinct and design thinking skills, taking charge of every project, story, and new show. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of University of Indonesia and was a Jardine scholar at the University of Cambridge.
VERONICA SIMANSJAH
RESEARCHER
Veronica graduated from the law faculty at Universitas Pelita Harapan Jakarta and is a passionate podcast listener and producer.
She draws inspiration from narrative podcasts produced in the United States and later produced her own podcast. She is tasked with the overall management of files and archives, along with scheduling episodes and voice talent.
RIZKI AULIA SYAHRIZAL
ASSOCIATE PRODUCER
Rizki graduated from University of Indonesia and immediately went to Japan to study Japanese in order to gain experience working abroad.
From struggling as a musician, housekeeping at a business hotel, to working in a Japanese start-up, he gained a diverse set of skills working abroad. He is passionate in studio production, from video to audio. He is dedicated in working on his personal project that he started since he came back home to Jakarta. He fills up his free time with developing his skills from personal skills like networking, to technical skills like editing.
He hopes to encourage Indonesians to be more critical and expand their vocabularies in talking about movies, which is the goal of his personal podcast. Where most movie podcasts just reviews the movie itself, his also talks about the industry and speculation moving forward. Similar to Sport Center on ESPN but for movies.
RIZKy bayuputra
NARRATIVE WRITER
Rizky 'BP' has dabbled in narrative fiction since his school years. His interests lie in writing grounded, eye-level fiction stories of both future and past; he is particularly invested in space colonization, and for historical work he focuses on the complex narratives of colonial Indonesia (where he won a short fiction award) and the Second World War. In the team, he is tasked with concepting and writing narrative storytelling podcasts.
In addition to his fiction works, BP was trained as a lawyer after graduating from the Universitas Indonesia Faculty of Law, was enlisted as an army reservist in college, and last but not least, a big history geek.
nABILLA ARSYAFIRA
MULTIMEDIA CONTENT CREATOR
Fira graduated from the Faculty of Law of University of Indonesia with an ardent concentration in constitutional law. An ally of human narratives with versatile inter-sectoral skills and experiences, she aims to empower society through the stimulation of informed decisions and educated judgments.
She embraces the stark contrasts of her background. A devotee of human rights and freedom of expression, she had been a constitutional lawyer, an academic and researcher, and a field advocate; but she has always immersed herself in journalism, literature, visual arts, sociopolitics, and community engagement — in the belief that multimedia communications and public discourse are key to making knowledge accessible.
In her spare time, she would catch up on her DC Comics pull-list, cuddle with her five cats, compose lengthy Quora answers, or most probably, quip and banter about movies and TV online.
KITTY KAT
SENIOR PURRRR-DUCER
Kitty is a Siberian feline who is highly adaptable in the tropics and is ever agile.
His acutely sensitive hearing and interest in the worlds of human drove him to the pursuit of delivering sonically great stories. Through his purrs, meows, hisses, silence, and graceful body language, Kitty’s mission is to tell meaningful stories that transcend all species in the animal kingdom.
You can easily find him resting, I mean, working under the table leaning against the equipment stack. To this end, Kitty spends his spare time munching treats and playing with newfound wonders. On special days, you will see Kitty enjoys the adventure of chasing down a mosquito in the depths of night.
